WHY AM I SO BLESSED?, a question
that I ponder every day.
WHY AM I SO BLESSED?, a wondrous
thought that fills me when I pray.
WHY AM I SO BLESSED?, God grant me
His compassion so I may,
Bless kindred souls who struggle on their way.
WHY AM I SO BLESSED?, this glorious
truth is plain for me to see.
WHY AM I SO BLESSED?, that by
"Amazing Grace" He set me free.
WHY AM I SO BLESSED?, remind me
Lord so I will always be,
A blessing to each one who looks to me.
WHY AM I SO BLESSED?, this question
still persists for who am I?
WHY AM I SO BLESSED?, that on a
sinner's cross for me He'd die.
WHY AM I SO BLESSED?, Lord touch me
once again so my reply,
Will bless and wipe away a tear dimmed eye.
WHY AM I SO BLESSED?, perhaps I will
not know till heaven's shore.
WHY AM I SO BLESSED?, that God
adorns my life with gifts from His great store.
WHY AM I SO BLESSED?, that from His
boundless love He gives me more,
That I, in turn, can bless the helpless and the poor.
God's blessings are not just for ourselves alone.
He blesses us so we can make His love so clearly known.
So touch and lead some troubled soul to mercy's throne.
So God's blessing in that life can then be shown.
