The Entertainers

I saw two small white butterflies
Dancing in the wind.
So very much alike they were
Each must have been a twin.

Even their movements were the same
As they fluttered in the breeze
Like an invisible magnet
Held them closely near the trees.

I watched them dance and dip and play
In the rays of God's sunlight
Then breathlessly I followed them
Til they were out of sight.

Just an ordinary hum drum day
Til these two perfect creatures
Stopped by to entertain me
As I sat cheering in the bleachers.
