On Family
How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! The best way to have the last word is to apologize. Stick and stones may break our bones, but words will break our hearts. You begin to find out what you really believe in Your family and your love must be cultivated like a garden. Time, effort and imagination must be summoned constantly to keep any relationship flourishing and growing. Your words are windows to your heart. Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life. The most valuable gift you can give another is a good example. What a father says to his children is not heard by the world; Our children are like mirrors - they reflect our attitudes in life. Children are like wet cement. Swallowing angry words is much better than having to eat them later. If you raise your children to feel that they can accomplish any goal or task they decide upon, you will have succeeded as a parent and you will have given your children one of the greatest of all blessings. Never say no to a gift from a child. We must believe the things we teach our children. Parenthood is the art of bring up children without putting them down. Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. Children will soon forget your presents. I thank my God every time I remember you. Lord, when we are wrong, make us willing to change. Family life is too intimate to be preserved by the spirit of justice. It can be sustained by a spirit of love which goes beyond justice. The advice your child rejected is now being given to your grandchild. A happy family is but an earlier heaven. The best inheritance parents can give their children The greatest thing in family life is to take a hint when a hint is intended - and not to take a hint when a hint isn't intended. Friends are the part of our family we get to choose. Have a heart that never hardens, A careless word may kindle strife, It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men. Good character, like good soup, is made at home. The best thing to spend on your children is your time. If you wouldn't write it and sign it, don't say it. A child does not need to be parented. I will pray for you quietly, think of you often and love you always. We must view young people not as empty bottles to be filled, Sometimes, there is no answer. At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict, or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent. Adolescence is like a house on moving day - a temporary mess. In life, no matter how tall you parents were, Be as quick to overlook the shortcomings of others To show a child what once delighted you, We are responsible for not only what we say, but equally how we say it. Your family and your love must be cultivated like a garden. Be open to new ideas and good advice. You grow up the day you have your first real laugh at yourself. Get outside yourself and really listen to others today. Treat people as if they were what they should be, and you help them become what they are capable of becoming. Wrong is wrong even if everyone does it. Among my most prized possessions are words that I have never spoken. Today's happenings are tomorrow's memories--- Leadership is action, not position. If your words don't match your actions, one of them is not true. Parents can only give advice or put [children] on the right paths, but the final forming of a person's character lies in their own hands. A Grandmother is a Mother who has a second chance.
