Exercise In Snow

Have you ever noticed snow
With a stillness it does come
And as the cars pass by your house
There's no rumbling - just a hum?

How the snow when it is making
Flaking through the air
Tumbling down from Heaven
As if dusted off a chair.

I've been practicing on snow
An exercise of sorts
Looking for the positive
In things that I abhor.

Loving is so easy
It takes little work at best
Hating simply wears me out
I'll give myself a rest.

I'll let the snow come falling
Without feeling "what a bummer"
And then just as my nose has thawed
Here comes sweet and glorious summer!
