Compassion Returned A Hundred Fold

I don't need riches and I don't need fame,
I don't need lights lit up with my name.
I don't need prestige and I don't need power,
For, I have Jesus in my darkest hour.

I don't need the mansions with all of its rooms,
I don't need the flowers with all their blooms.
For I have beauty like no other flower,
I have Jesus in my darkest hour.

I don't need sunshine when the clouds are gray,
I don't need the morning to start my day.
I don't need sweetness when things turn sour,
For I have Jesus in my darkest hour.

I don't need the river, if the river runs dry,
For I have Living Water, that will never die.
It is the Bread the enemy can not devour,
It is my Jesus in my darkest hour.

For, I found Jesus when I was lost,
I found Him there, nailed to a cross.
He's been my strength and my high tower,
Ever since I knelt and stayed with Him in His darkest hour.
